Why are masks mandatory in 1Capen?
The use of face coverings is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19, according to the most recent scientific evidence gathered by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). To protect their own health and that of their classmates, colleagues, friends and families, members of the UB community must commit themselves to wearing a face covering at all times. Why do I need a reservation for 1Capen?
Due to physical distancing guidelines set forth by the governor’s office, 1Capen occupancy is limited to 50 guests. In order to ensure proper disbursement of support across all departments available in 1Capen, we have moved to an online reservation system.
How do I make a reservation for 1Capen services?
You may make an appointment online.
What services are available in 1Capen?
The following select services are available: Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Office of the Registrar, Student Medical Insurance, Parking & Transportation Services and UB Card. Make an appointment online. Capacity is limited.
Study Abroad Programs virtual office hours (via Zoom) are open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

How do I make an appointment with a financial aid advisor?
If, after working with the financial aid support staff, you believe you need to speak to a financial aid advisor, the staff member will initiate contact and an advisor will contact you via email with an open Zoom consultation room invitation.
How do I make an appointment with a veterans advisor?

How do I pay my tuition bill?
You may pay your bill in the following ways:
- Pay online using ePay or eCheck.
- Mail your payment (money order, cashier’s check or personal check) to University at Buffalo, PO Box 10068, Albany, NY 12202-5068.
What forms may I submit at 1Capen?
- Financial aid forms may be securely uploaded online.
- All other forms can be dropped off in person at 1Capen.
How do I get my parking permit?
Visit the Parking and Transportation website to register for your parking permit. Your permit will be mailed to the address on file. Please remember to update your address before submitting payment.
I’m new to UB. How do I get my UB Card?
Visit the UB Card website to submit your card photo by Aug. 17, 2020, or learn how to access your mobile ID. All incoming undergraduate students living on campus with valid photographs on file by Aug. 17, 2020, will receive their UB Cards during their Campus Living check-in upon presenting a valid government ID. Incoming graduate students may make an appointment to get their UB Card. Capacity is limited.
